Hum

She laid across the grass
In that tiny yellow sundress
Shielding her eyes with glasses too big for her small frame
Blonde hair blowing in the wind
Bare feet, naked soul
She just laid there
To feel it all
Her skin was tanned in the summers sun
I watched her hike up her dress
To allow the sun to touch her thighs
I swear I could see her smile
Through her eyes
She licked her lips
And propped herself up against her elbows
She swayed to a song I didn’t hear
Maybe it was in her head as she moved
I watched her tilt her head back
And the sun made her seem unreal
The way it captured the glow
Of her soul

As I sit here and watch and wonder who she is, and where she is from. Who she loves and what makes her hum
